
Mr. Kim Veara is Assistant Professor and Director of ASEAN Economic Research Institute. He is also a professor of Economics at the Faculty of Digital Economy and School of Public Policy, NUM. He has been extensively engaged in both academic and policy research in a variety of development projects in the fields of education, social development and poverty, small and medium enterprise development, value chains, and special economic zones. He is a PhD candidate at the University of Tasmania, Australia. He earned a Master of International Development from Nagoya University, Japan.

Ms. Tie Porly is a researcher at the ASEAN Economic Research Institute (AERI), focusing on sustainable development, electric mobility, and affordable housing policy in Cambodia and serves as Assistant Project Manager for the Erasmus+ ALIGNING and SCALe projects and contributes to other CBHE projects such as FAB, GREENCAP, and CHAIn. She holds a Bachelor’s in Community Development (RUPP, 2020) and a Master’s in Management (NUM, 2024), and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics (2025). Her work supports AERI’s mission to promote inclusive and evidence-based economic development policy in Cambodia and the ASEAN region.

Ms. Taing Sokuntheaneary is a staff at the ASEAN Economic Research Institute. Her fields of interest are regional economics and public policy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Digital Economy from the National University of Management and in International Relations from the Institute for International Studies and Public Policy (IISPP). She is currently pursuing a master's degree to further deepen her expertise.

Ms. Tep Sovann Rekha is an intern at ASEAN Economic Research Institute. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Digital Economy at the National University of Management and is one of the active member of NUM Student Research Club. With the opportunity to intern at AERI, she hopes to challenge herself, strengthen her research skills, and contribute meaningfully to the institute's work while continuing to grow both academically and professionally.
